I read somewhere that rocket launchers are becoming a popular item at gun buy backs. I guess the idea of turning in a rocket launcher has really taken off.

Rumors have been circulating for years that various PD's will lend each other scary-looking weapons to enhance the "success" of these events, which helps explain all the minty AR-15's and AK's and such that they claim were turned in by little old ladies who found them in the garage. We might be able to follow these rocket launchers around the country.

Would make sense. It's not like the Police run the numbers there and then, followed by public announcements.

They did that to someone I know. Stole his gun,
sold it to drug dealers or someone that shouldn't have had it.
He got it back by threatening the da. They are all involved.
It was a big deal at the time, I dont know about now.
