Some estimates put ownership of bump fire stocks throughout the USA at 500,000, in existence from before 2010...call it ten years....and when our astute law makers first considered proposed legislation, how come they were asking "what's a bump stock?". Seems that right there is indicative of a product not a problem, until hyped in the same way as "cop-killer bullets" that bit the dust (or so media and public think).

Can you shoot a bipod equipped rifle while STANDING and not resting the bipod on a surface?
Yeah, sort of like that - just because a rifle HAS an accessory, doesn't mean it has to be used.
it just seems kind of stupid to have a rifle with a bipod and a bump fire stock like having an egg and peanut butter sandwich.
just because you can and it's physically possible doesn't mean it makes sense.
a binary or match trigger is more suitable for a rifle with a bipod, and yes bipods even flip out of the way.
it makes sense when it's your only AR toy and you want multiple convenient ways of using it, but when you've got suitcases of options, what is the point? especially when funds are not a consideration.

our saving grace is that most of these people are mentally unstable, incapable of coherent thought or so inbred as to be mentally deficient.
you apply logic to their actions and it just doesn't make sense, there is almost always a more efficent or brutal way.
then again they're usually being led by FBI agents so their incompetence does make some sense. he probably didn't know the stock was removable or that they serve seperate independent purposes, was shooting it in "as bought" condition.

excuse me now, i'm going to have a delicious egg and PB sandwich while i install a suppressor, 3 flashlights, two lasers, folding buffer tube, bump stock, 9x scope and bipod on my 4" ar.

    Sounds plausible.
    I don't know.
I've been around an awful lot of shooting over the years, but not in a concrete canyon at distance.
I don't want to sidetrack the thread, but maybe I will see if I can find the video I'm talking about and repost it for review and comment.

There is a video (2) that one of them is a retired cop stating it was done with speakers,
the other was it was done with that speaker that can project pinpoint sound up to a mile.
That is the reason for the people saying they were being followed by the bullets/gunmen.
They said they were trying to heard them (crowds) towards the fuel tanks, I guess thats
why they shot the tanks At this point anything is plausible.
