Probably because he is smart enough to figure out how this will wind up if they do not.

Why is it OK for government on EVERY LEVEL to infringe on our Second Amendment Rights? Is it OK for states, and cities (and the Feds) to pass laws on Free Speech? Can Pittsburgh just pass a law indicating we are not able to say what we want? Why is that not OK, but gun laws are?

Good letter and I agree with adding both "mikelets456" and "Manxdriver" suggestions.

    Or driver license.

Patchwork local laws are good for no one.
Yes. If preemption was discussed in the context of multiple issues which people who do not own firearms could get behind too, that would be a big plus.

To add to what Pilot was saying make the thrust of the rebuttal along Constitutional issues.
Religion, free speech, assemblage, free passage, due process, civil rights and so on.
Don't think most consider what the right actually means.
Hell I question if even most of the gun owners comprehend it.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

I wish that "rip" and "governor" were not used together in the headline.
It's depressing once your brain correctly processes all the words.

It is a very good letter. Adding information about preemption will lose people. Better to add a link to a landing page with information about it or anything else you want to get across. People who really want to know will go there. If you need help on a landing page, let me know.

It is a shame we can't recall the Governor to remove him from his post.

All good points and ideas, thank you all! Time to get cracking before the issue goes cold!

Because he is part of the wealthy global elite that hate individual rights and freedom. It is all part of the plan for him and perhaps 2,000 others to control everything and slaughter those that disagree.
