Anderson stripped lower
My LGS has an Anderson lower on sale for $40 until Christmas Eve. Regular price is listed as $50, which is still MUCH lower than the other stripped lowers that they have on their website.
I have not attempted an AR build yet, so I’m lacking in knowledge on this topic. However, this seems to be a pretty good deal and possibly the beginning of my first build.
So.... what’s up with Anderson? Is it a garbage receiver?

Re: Anderson stripped lower
As good as any other standard lower. Unless you like expensive roll marks.

Re: Anderson stripped lower
They are built to the same spec as other standard AR lowers. I've built three different rifles using them and never had an issue as they went together cleanly.
My personal opinion is to use the Anderson and invest a bit more in a quality lower parts kit which will ensure everything fits together cleanly. I personally think CMMG makes one of the best LPK's out there and they are priced competitively.
I also have two spikes lower builds and they went together just as easy, the only difference is the fit and finish is one step up with a deeper black and slightly cleaner lines. They also ran just under $100.00 each.Join the GOA & save $5.00. https://www.gunowners.org/mac-subs-join-goa.htm

Re: Anderson stripped lower
I consider Anderson to be the best of the standard forged no frills mill spec lowers. Why pay more for a mill spec?

Re: Anderson stripped lower
Don't join any at groups on Facebook asking about Anderson lol there's a bunch of entitled twats around those parts lol
I'm currently working on my own build, but it's going to be an ATI OMNI Hybrid poly lower, although I was going to use Anderson I found the poly for $15 cyber Monday sale. I'm building a budget pistol.
Btw Andersons are referred to as poverty ponies because of there roll mark, and if you own one on fakebook you will be called a poor by people who can't even spell Pennsylvania. Lmao

Oh, and shop around!
Anderson's were on sale everywhere for $30 on black Friday. My LGS sells the Palmetto state armory lowers for $40, which even the elitists on arfcom groups and others all agree are solid quality.

Re: Anderson stripped lower
PickingPA, they are good to go! I have two builds on them; no issues with fit, finish or function. if i do not get to the Oaks show this weekend I'm heading there and grabbing one myself, hard to beat PSA prices but this does !
