Re: Husband ghifts firearm to wife, then divorce...
Not worth arguing over imho. They're cheap, transfer it back to him and buy something else.
Here is the thing. It was never "registered" to anyone. There's probably a "record of sale" with his name attached to it. That's not quite the same thing. Since you two were married, he could gift you a firearm without having to do anything else, no transfer. Now your not married, you would have to transfer it back to him through an FFL to be legal. If he wants it that bad, let him pay the $20 bucks for the transfer. Honestly, I don't see why he's hell bent on getting this particular Keltec back. A new one is less than $250. Sounds like he just wants to be Petty for some reason.

What he said. ^^^
ALL of it is correct and I agree with any part of what he said that is "opinion".
I can't think of a valid reason to want to fight to keep that particular handgun. It's like wanting to fight to keep a DVD player.
Wash your hands of it, and go buy a better one.
...and wipe your prints off it. LOL! (sort of joking)

My advice, if you still want to maintain a firearm for your protection (and children's if there are any), I suggest you take it to a local gun shop and trade it in on something you like for yourself.
THAT gun will be transferred into your name and he won't be able to bother you about the firearm.
The one you have is legally yours now, but you can eliminate all legal complications if he tries to make an issue out of it by trading that gun for one that will be in your name.
Keep in mind, there's no gun "registration" in PA. Only transfers as a part of the sales transaction, that aren't "supposed" to be tracked by the Government and police.
Get yourself a nice pink or purple Ruger LC9. Something he won't want.
A bonus will be that it's all yours and you picked it out...and you won't think about him whenever you look at it.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
