Probably should try contacting a lawyer. There are a few on the site and I bet just about anyone here can give you their info.

Re: Reviving stolen property mistd
The Misdemeanor 1 is prohibiting just like it was a felony because M1's have a max possible sentence of 5 years(unless otherwise stated). Not allowed to touch guns or ammo for any reason, anywhere in the United States(this is a federal law thing).
You can still get a hunting license and hunt, but you cannot use a gun. You have to use other lawful devices, like bow & arrow, crossbow, etc.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

It only took 29 posts of insults to the OP and useless posts before an actual, legitimate response was provided.
Things are improving.

Re: Reviving stolen property
Not in Pennsylvania. The federal law is state misdemeanors of more than 2 years possible maximum are prohibiting. In most states I'm aware of, misdemeanors normally top out at 6 months or a year. In Pennsylvania 3rd Degree Misdemeanors can be sentenced up to a year. 2nd Degree Misdemeanors can be up to 2 years. 1st Degree Misdemeanors can be up to 5 years. So, M3 is not normally prohibiting. M2 are also not normally prohibiting, because the federal statute says MORE than 2 years. M1 are normally prohibiting.

But there are some exceptions. Like domestic violence. And there is an M1 (I think it is animal cruelty) that tops out at 2 years, so it isn't prohibiting. And there can be others that get moved around because of specific statutes.
I'm not a lawyer, and if there is any question, the person with the question should see a lawyer.
But the above information should be known by anybody who is around firearms, in my opinion.
