My 7-year-old grandson's Red Ryder (or something like that) BB gun sits in my house in the laundry room (a good place to stick it accessible, but out of the way). My son's stationed at Fort George G. Meade, Md. and doesn't have a place to shoot it on post, or in the family housing area, so it's here when he and the grandkids, and his wife, and his two dogs, all come to visit Grandpa and Grandma. By the way, every time they come for a visit Grandpa has to bake up a batch of cookies (I didn't know it was a requirement, but my son showed me the Grandpa Rule Book, and there it was).

He bought the BB gun at the PX, no questions asked. He says they have a nice stock of assorted evil black rifles for sale, too, despite what Maryland law says. Of course, being a federal military installation, Maryland law has no impact at all.

I'm not sure what drives such legislation....realistic-looking guns employed in holdups, or the rare occurrence of a BB getting into an artery and migrating, or an eye out. Sometimes it's a politician with the power over something s/he experienced on a personal basis.
What drives such legislation? Dimwit minds.

Gun law, after gun law, after gun law. Numerous restrictions on a constitutional right that would not be tolerated for any other right. How is the so called "right to abortion" treated? Well, so lax that the baby's head can be pulled out of the birth canal and then it's brains literally sucked out. Unfrigginnbelievable!

Personally, I refuse to accept the premise that an airgun is a firearm. It's a distortion of reality.

But isn't that the true purpose of government?

Evan Nappen recently stated on his Facebook page that if you own a Glock, Sig or any other registered pistol that has a +10 round capacity....expect LE Contact.

By what means is he referring to...........wow.

He is the premier gun lawyer in NJ, and that sort of fear mongering means good business.

Its sad really that people think that way. (and I just as guilty as being paranoid, thanks NJ)

Interesting. A record of sale becoming PC for a search warrant based on the standard magazine associated with a make and model of handgun, coupled with no record of the owner having surrendered the (now) illegal magazine(s) to law enforcement, I suppose.

What a CF if carried out. Imagine the lower courts issuing search warrants for the homes and businesses of everyone on record. Quite an undertaking. Doesn't sound like anything practical, short of a Krystal Nacht.

...and it will all be done on overtime pay of course. One more reason NJ is the tax capitol of the country.
