Default Bloomberg employees - class action lawsuit

From its inception through 2013 (when numerous lawsuits were filed and the U.S. Department of Labor resolved an audit of the entire company), Bloomberg L.P. failed to pay overtime premium pay to any class of employees except interns. Since then, Bloomberg “reclassified” some positions and began paying overtime to some but not all of its employees.

The company will distribute $3.2 million to at least 499 workers, most of whom worked in customer service, according to the Post.

Bloomberg has a reputation as a company with a demanding work culture, and this is not the first time it has settled lawsuits related to overtime pay. Back in 2014, it paid 428 workers more than $5 million after similar complaints were lodged.

Have people ever noticed how so many of these companies which treat their employees like toilet paper (to be used and discarded) are so generous donors? I imagine the PR is way more important than actually being good or ethical to work for.

They don't donate their money because they have a big heart or actually care about anyone but themselves they donate for tax credits and media attention.
