I've got 3 Remington 700's (.30-06, 2X .308), a Howa (.308), and a Tikka T3X Tac A1 (6.5CM) all modified for long range. No need for another bolt gun in the stable.

10/22 would be cool though. I've been eyeing those brownell's receivers a bit.
I'm only here for the wood c-rings.

From my understanding roughly half the parts are interchangable.

Barrel/chamber/bore is diff of course. Trunions are generally different due to barrel diameter (which is common among 762x39 from diff countries) receivers are different, gas blocks and sights may work depending on barrel dimensions, furniture may work depending on original host gun to new build. The bolt face is different of course. The carrier may be the same, ive never tried one. I do know the fire control group holes are not in the same location in relation on the receiver. Mainly due to them being different in size.
Most rivets would be the same, they all vary in length anyway depending on the build (fixed/underfolder/side folder) Chinese rivets are different from all of them, as is the whole gun dimensional (receiver thickness and barrel trunion diameter)
Fire control group should be the same along with the safety.

So think about like an AR15 vs AR10

Lower or upper or whole thing? I picked up a couple shadow systems slide kits for $49.00 on Dvor a few weeks ago keep an eye on their sales can be good , standard lower parts kits will run you about $49.00 standard slide kits no frills usually about $69.00 - $79.00 several places that's the going rate, need a low cost slide

    Slide options

    https://rockslideusa.com/shop?olsPag...ides-and-parts Starting around $199.00

https://www.alphashootingsports.com/category-s/189.htm solid looking slides not too pricey depending on what you want.

    https://www.midwayusa.com/s?targetLo...ItemsPerPage=0

Good entry level slides lower cost between $169.00 and $200.00 I have one works fine

https://www.brownells.com/search/ind...lide&ksubmit=y More slide options within the $169.00 - $200.00 range.

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/97...en-3-9mm-luger Lower parts kits $49.99 (this is pretty much the going rate)

https://www.opticsplanet.com/cruxord...l-gen-1-3.html here's a deal on a solid recoil spring for the price difference it's worth it.

    https://www.opticsplanet.com/lone-wo...etion-kit.html Slide completion Kit $79.99

    https://www.opticsplanet.com/shadow-...k-pistols.html Slide completion kit $69.09

https://www.opticsplanet.com/strike-...for-glock.html Love this locking block pin set anti walk useful for these builds.

    http://www.combatarmory.com/glock-barrels-1/ Barrels $59.99 use code take15 about $51.00 shipped.

https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/bgl91917-m Barrels $45.89 Bear creek arsenal they don't have the threaded in stock. Personally My next couple builds I'm going Stormlake pricey yes , accurate and reliable very much (well as accurate as I am anyhow but there is a distinct difference from my experience)

now if you want a standalone kit you can also go to 80 P builder for about $335.00 you can build out a basic slide assy. and het your upper and lower parts kits included if you are going basic that is and your installing all the parts. (that's with the current 20% off sale) See the link below.

    Hope that helps some.

Build a 9x25 carbine. At least it would be exotic.

I went high end on my last one ...well technically still building it but I put a couple together on the cheap they both shoot as well as I can. Stupid Midway keeps selling the P80 frames at clearance pricing for different models ....freaking killing me.

Building an AK was fun. From a parts kit and a flat. Made my own jig to fold the receiver, ruined a pair of bolt cutters to make rivet setter. A gear puller to pull the barrel and all thread to put it back in. Half the job was making the tools to do the job.
