So essentially, the only thing his new "law" does is protect people from their irrational fear of seeing a gun during public demonstrations in support of the second amendment, by people who are of no danger to anyone.

Here is my question-- could someone clearly define the difference between a semi-automatic rifle and an assault rifle other than the hand grip?

It gives the cop a reason to approach you, but if the magazine isn't actually loaded then no offense has occurred.

No, it prevents them from seeing an EMPTY gun, which looks THE SAME as a loaded gun. So stupid.

As long as a mass murderer transports his gun unloaded, he'll be in compliance right until the shooting starts. Then they can rush in with their citation pads and take care of business!

That's how stupid this all is.

Saw this over on Reddit. Looks like Bloomberg is the source of the super secret litigation team.

    I believe I called it.

Not a lawyer and all, but having a gun at a 2A rally in direct protest of a gun law would look like protected speech to me.

Like the women that go topless at protests again women must wear shirts laws; that's been declared protected expression before.

    D. For purposes of this Section, there shall be a rebuttable presumption that an assault weapon is loaded if fitted with a magazine.
Well, at least they didn't say "clip".

In the meantime, how long until the first private criminal complaint?

You can HAVE hour AR15 at the rally - you just can't USE it there.

Whoa - i think we all suspected, but there's the proof.
