Sadly, the progressives did a good and consistent job of demonizing anything that threatens and the right to self defense is one of those things. We need to restore the belief that this is an actual right just like free speech is a right, voting is a right, etc.

It's all part of the plan... Most young people today are so dumbed down and brainwashed by the liberal run media and education system. They don't care about America’s founding principles, liberty, the Constitution or history... They think the First Amendment only applies if it doesn't hurt someone's feelings and they want the Second Amendment repealed because they have all been taught if you see a gun leave it, don't touch it, all the way into adulthood, so more then half of them panic if they see a gun. They don't have enough brains to know that guns are everywhere and have been for hundreds of years. I met a someone that didn't know there was a thing called a gun store or that people can carry guns. Some think most guns are already illegal to own or you need a "special license". I've heard it all. They want pot legalized. They want Socialism. Gender pronouns are a thing... Somehow they were taught there are more then two genders and socialism is good. They think that voting is where they get their way or they throw a temper tantrum until they get what they want... They protest, some even violently demanding to have their own freedoms taken away. They don't want to be self-reliant, only the police and government should have guns, they want the government to protect them, provide for them, fix all their problems and keep them safe, even if they have to give up essential liberty. They are out of touch with reality. It's too late to fix this and in a few more decades it will be a lot worse...
