Thoughts on the AR Sig Brace?
Working on a pistol build, been debating on a brace of some kind or just running the pistol buffer tube pad.
What are your thoughts on the Sig SB15?
I can get one used for the same price as a new shockwave v1 blade atm
My build is an ar15 pistol, 10.5" barrel chambered in 5.56

Re: Thoughts on the AR Sig Brace?
Get a shockwave. Unless you like heavy rubbery and loose...
If I was to do it again I would be buying a SB Tactical SBA3.

Re: Thoughts on the AR Sig Brace?
I have two of these and wont use anything else anymore. Put on on a .22LR AR pistol I put together for my kids Birthday last week and he loves it. Very comfortable and compact package I found the 2nd one on sale at optics planet and used a 10% off coupon code and it was $85 shipped.

Re: Thoughts on the AR Sig Brace?
Thanks guys, I was worried about it being way to big myself.
I REALLY like the sba3! That's probably the top of my list. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be passing up on a good deal.
Please let me know if you hear of any used ones for sale! New is outta the budget right now unfortunately.

Here is a good comparison of most of the popular braces on the current market. If I see anything come up for a really good price I will update the thread.

KAK shockwave 2.0 is adjustable and comes in a kit, but If you are thinking about get the older shockwave blade with the set screw, I would suggest getting the KAK tube for it. You can buy a kit or just the parts you need. The tube is only twenty bucks.

Re: Thoughts on the AR Sig Brace?
When I built my SBR I thought about a brace, but including the tax stamp the SBR was cheaper.
Dunno what braces are going for today, but don't discuscount an SBR out of hand.

Re: Thoughts on the AR Sig Brace?
Agreed. The dimpled KAK tube is needed to keep it securely adjusted in my opinion.
I just learned of the 2.0 recently. Have yet to see anyone advertise them. Probably trying to sell the old stock off first.
I like that super pricey adjustable one, but for my own use, what do I need to adjust it for? In most cases, you set it where you want it, and it never moves again. Maybe OK for letting other people shoot, but I've never once moved any of my carbine stocks after initially settling on the right length.
I'm easy to please and have no issue with the plain, old Blade.
Options are always good though.
