Met PennsyPlinker tonight

I met PennsyPlinker this evening.

He's just as gracious and pleasant in person as he is on this forum. He's out west to attend Mt Jack's hearing Monday and to visit his daughter so we arranged to have dinner this evening. I already had plans to dine with Randy Cain and his students in the shotgun class this weekend so I invited him to join us.

I'll second that. I went to his house to meet him in person, tuesday, after work. He only lives about 3 miles from me.

I'm sure it will be a pleasure to meet him.

I was going to make a "wood" joke but I figured I'd try to keep ONE thread I participate in from getting perverted.

Had a great conversation over dinner with Pennsy tonight. The usual.......religion, politics, child rearing, guns......

I didn't have to threaten to ban him...no infractions......it was a good day.

In all seriousness, having met the man, I would not hesitate to have him in my home. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Stop, I'm blushing! I have been having a great time on this "vacation", as I described it to Mrs. Plinker. No tools to pack, no wood to cut, just driving around and meeting some great people. The trip out was one of the nicest I have ever had on the turnpike. There were virtually no idiots hogging the left hand lane, as is often the case.

I met TonyF Saturday evening and got to see where the POOFA folks shoot. You guys have a great range there! Then it was off to dinner for a very pleasant discussion and good food. Thanks again Tony, for bringing me along.

Sunday I spent with my daughter and her husband. We walked into church and the first thing the pastor asked me was if I brought anything to protect him with. He is a very strong RKBA guy, and carries a .357 mag himself. We had been shooting together the day of my daughter's wedding at the church camp, and he reminded me to bring some guns and spend some time next time doing some more shooting.

Sunday evening Lycanthrope met me for dinner. We have some similarities in educational background, and the conversation was great. We moved from the restaurant to a coffee shop and continued for a while - funny stuff, serious stuff, etc. We psychoanalyzed the entire board here.

I'll be leaving for MTN Jack's hearing in a little bit and I am looking forward to meeting the rest of you folks who are going to be there. I am really hoping for a good outcome for Jack and his family. I will be the large handsome fellow with a gun and a Bible with me.
