I like the Shockwave a lot. I can hit with my not quite a Shockwave (mine has an 18.5" barrel) pretty easily, but agree that a full stock SBS would be factually better.

Someday I'll "upgrade". Not to that Ithaca though.

Length yes, shape no. I suppose I could use one as a back up paddle in my boat. I wonder how it will perform at the bottom of a lake.

It looks sort of old school gangster. 30's gangster. I like it.

Assuming the standard birdshead grip wouldn't have made minimum length on the Ithaca action. Unless they left a bit of extra barrel like Remington did. Either way I would just buy a cheap used stock and make a homemade birdshead out of it that is more aesthetically pleasing to me.

I guess it's the same as the debate between any new Ithaca vs new Rembergchester. Do you want a super high quality gun made "the way they used to be"? Gonna have to pay for that. Or get something that's good enough for alot less. It'll get the job done either way. Lots of people complain about plastic this and aluminum that. Very few of those will put their money where their mouth is.

And that's why we can't have nice things.
