Matching numbers one sold for just shy of $2500."A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself"

Re: I Need help. With WW2 machine gun
I agree Gunbroker is probably the best place. Do you have the bolt? That would make a difference in value. A "parts kit" should have every piece except for the trashed receiver.
Still for $200 you did good. Just an original barrel should go for way more than that (at least thats my guess).

Re: I Need help. With WW2 machine gun
The few civilian legal models imported from 1968 to 1989 are now worth over $5000 complete.
Parts kits are available from time to time from Switzerland as there complete guns are worth $200-$300, so sometimes an enterprising US company will buy some and have them de-miled to turn them into parts kits they can sell for $600 and above.
If you look on the Swiss Rifles Forum and the FAL Files there are some forum threads that detail the issues people have had trying to make a US made receiver to use these parts kits. Not easy.

Re: I Need help. With WW2 machine gun
Thread makes me cry too. I can remember when the semi version was legally sold. They were crafted and finished like Swiss watches.
All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.
