Re: Self-defense insurance? Case examples?
Another case of "Self-Defense" from the real-world. Notice the date of the "crime," and notice the date of judicial determination on Appeal. No mention of $ to carry forward with the expense for that outcome.

Re: Self-defense insurance? Case examples?
I'm a member of ACLDN. I hope I never need it, but I feel good about supporting the organization and (indirectly) fellow members. It's not "insurance." Always read the fine print. https://armedcitizensnetwork.org/lea...rship-benefits

Re: Self-defense insurance? Case examples?
And in this person's case, I do think that there is no self-defense "insurance" that would have helped him:

Re: Self-defense insurance? Case examples?
Do LEO's/LE Departments, the state police, court officials who carry as a requirement, etc have separate insurance riders or policies for their line of work or their employees line of work?
A Notary Public carries "errors and omissions" insurance. Motor vehicle carriers have a rider to cover the "extra" hazard of transporting hazardous and dangerous materials on public roads if they so chose to do that. Of course medical professionals and even the ones I see have malpractice insurance.
I would think that the state and any municipality most likely needs extra liability protections from their underwriters for their employees who are in harms way. (Or who put innocents in harms way as two recent high profile shootings have pointed out). It makes sense to have policies for specific protections in high liability scenarios if there is a chance it can happen. As one of our over advertising attorney firms state over and over again, you have to "choose wisely".Engineers make things idiot proof! Evolution makes better idiots!
