Default Kudus to Allegheny county Sheriff's office

Had to renew my LTCF today, it literally took 5 minutes. I spent more time in the forbes garage trying to find a spot to park the truck.

Pretty sure it starts on the Day you renew..

Mine was up the end of September .. Notification I got from the Sheriffs office said.. AS LONG AS YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO RENEW, THERE IS A SIX MONTH GRACE PERIOD TO COMPLETE THE RENEWAL PROCESS FOR YOUR LICENSE. IN ESSENCE,YOUR LICENSE IS STILL ACTIVE FOR SIX MONTHS PAST YOUR EXPIRATION DATE

From my reading of 6106, the bold red is a half truth. You can still be arrested and charged, but a competent lawyer should be able to get the charges dropped. The words: "prior to the date of arrest" are right in the language of the exception concerning carrying on a less than six month expired license.

    I read it differently ...

§ 6106. Firearms not to be carried without a license.

    (b) Exceptions.--

    (12) A person who has a lawfully issued license to carry a firearm pursuant to section 6109 (relating to licenses) and that said license expired within six months prior to the date of arrest and that the individual is otherwise eligible for renewal of the license.
