    Default Philly Gun Show Tomorrow

This will be our first gun show my wife and I will be attending. It’s at the national guard armory in Philly. I’ll be looking for an AR15 scope and rings. What type of deals can you usually find at gun shows? Anyone else going?

Not many that I know go there and reports are usually meh. That's not to say that you can't or won't find something, one never knows with these things. Oaks is the big show and it's coming in early December sometime. Peruse the Black Friday Specials thread for deals, you might find something there.

The chance of finding a deal on a cheap scope and mount are about 100%. There's usually tons of Chinese AR junk at these shows. Ammo , powder , primers are a good bet too. Saves on HazMat shipping fees. Often no sales tax either.

Gun shows have become flea markets and your chance of finding the right deal on something you want are about the same.

I live relatively close to this location but stopped going a while back due to the place getting too crowded and the parking sucks. The turnouts there may have gone down but the narrow aisles and hardly able to see the merchandise on the tables due the place being packed with people turned me off.
I isually just wait for the Oaks show.

I remember when it was like that. For almost the past two years I have found a spot to park right out front and in my opinion it hasn’t been crowded at all.

I like Leupold and usually figure out exactly what I want by searching their website. If I want to see it in person I look at it in Cabelas. I have bought a couple in Delaware to save the sales tax. In my opinion the chance of you getting something of quality, at a good price, with the feature you want, are slim to none.

Oaks may have a better selection. But I would recommend doing your homework first.

I’ll be stopping at the Armory before night work one of the days to grab some ammo from C & J and maybe some targets.

It would be just my luck for me to go and the conditions be just the opposite.

I like the armory show. If I was off I’d go. Look up locks gun shop. It’s close. It’s a way back machine to a real gun shop.

haven't been to that one in ages. got tired of the copies of "downfall", overprices firearms, and malwart junk that everyone was selling.

again, that was a long time ago.
