Blue Dot..enlighten me please.

I have never used it for one simple reason....way back when i was first getting into reloading I read something in a magazine by a gunwriter that the only time he ever blew up a gun with a published load was when using Blue Dot. I don't remember the writer, the caliber, the gun etc....it just stuck in my mind and I always chose alternate powders.

I reckon a lot more guns have been destroyed by an inadvertent double charge of Bullseye.
