    Default Sticky holsters

I've been a fan of these and have one for all of my pistols. The last one that I bought, I notice a significant difference in the "sticky" factor, ie the holster comes out with the gun from my pocket, and even when it's tucked in my waistband. I'll obviously call customer service tomorrow, just checking to see if anyone else has experienced this problem before I call.

My original Nemesis long ago lost its external stickiness. I superglued black woven shelf mat to it and that worked for a while, then it too quit.

A few months ago I read that the De Santis Nemesis pocket holster for the P3AT was to go out of production.

I bought one from eBay. (G3). It seems better than the original. I guess I've been using it (daily) for half a year. Still like new.

I think there is a spray available in sporting goods that makes things sticky (like for the tape on a baseball bat). So I'm told.

But yes, the stickiness of the pocket holster (by De Santis) does seem to have a limited service life.

This is a brand new Sticky, not a DeSantis. The ones I've had for a few years still work like they're supposed to.

I know you said it's a newer one amongst several, but have you attempted to clean it, per the manufacturer's instructions?

Also use a Nemesis for my Shield and always stays put with draw. Maybe you got the slippery one instead of sticky one. Send it back if you can. They must have changed the material or something. DiSantis are cheap but work great. Try one.

Never had to clean one brand new from the package, and didn't see any instructions to clean before use on the packaging or the website. They're closed until the 23rd, so I'll check with them then. No big deal, since I have several and I'm confident they'll exchange my Slicky for a Sticky.

    From the Sticky website:

    Frequently Asked Questions
    1. My holster is starting to slip, what can I do?
If your holster is starting to slip, or is not staying in place where you would like it too, it probably needs to be cleaned. The best way to clean you holster is to use a rag or wash cloth. Wet the rag and put a small amount of mild detergent (we use Murphy’s Oil Soap) on the rag and ring out so it is damp. Simply wipe down the holster and let it air dry overnight. This will help clean off any body oils and dirt and it will retain its stickiness again.
i've found this to work on a variety of different brands and products that advertise 'sticky' as part of their usefullness. Wash with mild soap and water, let air dry. Sticky as new again.

The remora is a better deal. The sticky coating will rub off the sticky brand holsters. I mentioned this and they wont let me comment in their fb posts anymore

I liked the sticky holster till the coating came off.

I use Ramora and have them for all my handguns. Never a problem sticking. Took me awhile to trust that they wouldn't slip but they don't move.
Sticks and stones will break my bones but hollow points expand on impact.
