    yes i know they keep somewhat of a data base, but some of our guns are not in said data base as they are long guns bought from private sales or were given by family.

    When my local police commissioner gets on the radio after an arrest and tells us the arrestee "had 8 handguns registered to him" - its a f^%ing registry...

    You ARE the actual buyer, if you're buying the item as a gift for someone else. (IE using YOUR money to purchase them a gift). You're NOT the actual buyer, if you're using their money to buy it because they can't pass a background check.

    They explain this on page 4 of the 4473.
    If using their money it matters not if they can pass the background check. Pa state cop got busted buying his dad a gun because dad wrote a check prior to the son buying the gun. Thread on here somewhere.

    Well thanks for all the replies, I think I'm going to buy the glock then let her "borrow" until the 26th where we will go to a FFL and do the transfer.
