Best round for a small 9mm (Glock 43)

I have some full size 9mms that I carry Speer GD 124 +p in, but for my G43 I might go standard pressure. It's more about snappiness and follow up shot speed than recoil. What do you think and any recommendations?

I haven't done a lot of testing, but of the self defense rds I've shot with a baby 9, Hornady Critical Defense works well for me.

I also use Hornady Critical Duty 135 grain +p.

If you're concerned about snappiness, I'd go for a heavier round. I use 147gr (standard pressure) Federal HST in my PPS M2, USP Compact, and USP Tactical.

Federal also has a 150 grain HST round designed for compact handguns.
Unfortunately it only comes in 20 round boxes.

Have you tried the 124gr +p short barrel Gold Dots? I haven't but hey're supposed to have less perceived recoil.

I sometimes carry a PF9 with +p HST's. It's not really that much worse than standard pressure rounds, but I do worry about the slide blowing off.
