    Default HR7115

Idiots from our neighboring state and a few others are proposing a ban on "3D guns," which effectively bans all parts kit builds and spare parts from being sold. Break an extractor? Enjoy your paperweight. Want to try a new trigger? Too bad. Think you can build your dream AR for less than a sw m&p? Not anymore. The way this bill is written, there will be no more home manufacturing of any firearms as it prohibits the sale of any part or combination of parts which can be finished into a semi automatic rifle or handgun.

Wasn't Costello leaving the scene? What is his status?

ETA: It looks like we got a Chrissy Houlahan-D to fill that seat.

Costello was anti-Trump, weak on guns, and opted not to run for re-election. We got a Democrat instead.

I would expect a huge volume of laws coming that basically eradicate any sort of firearm construction or repair. It's one of the many pillars they are going to use to achieve a totalitarian state. They've got to totally shut down the transfer of knowledge and experience, ability to repair or build, ammunition supplies and reloading and anything that fires a projectile. I expect them to go after reloaders soon as well.

Thing is that knowledge has to be sustained and created through doing. As we have seen in the United Kingdom, their knowledge and ability to build firearms to defend themselves is just about gone.

I was about to post about this. Here's a link to the actual text of the bill.

This one needs our attention. They're trying to sneak it in by calling it “3–D Firearms Prohibitions Act”. They're trying to garner support by using the 3D printing fear, even though this has very little to do with actually 3D printing. We should start contacting our reps now and our senators. This is just the beginning, but we need to be very vocal on any anti legislation.

Marino is my rep. I fully plan on talking to him about this. He's been pretty good in the past.
