Default Ex-PSP Colt 6520 Carbine from Blooming Grove barracks

    Looking for opinions:

If you had the opportunity to purchase an ex-PSP Colt 6520 Carbine documented to be from the Troop R Blooming Grove barracks at the time when Eric Frein shot two troopers and killed one in 2014, and $$$ was no object, would you?

Curious as to what the members think.

I wouldn't overpay for it. The fact that it's from that barracks doesn't, IMO, add any real collector value to it beyond it being a PSP 6520.

Agreed,as kind of a fan of L.E and military marked firearms the Frein tie in doesn't carry much weight with me and probably not with too many other would be buyers either...I wouldn't empty the bank for it.

Why would you want to pay a premium for a rusty AR loaded with coffee stains and donut crumbs that likely had the bolt pounded in backwards with a hammer?
The cops could phuk up a bowling ball- especially when it comes to firearms.

Actually, gun guys like me that were firearm's instructors cared for the firearms. No doubt they get banged up in a patrol cars and those particular rifles were schlepped through the woods for several weeks but the weapons in the weapons locker were always good to go.

Yeah, I'm thinking of the 870's that we used to keep in the cars.
Nobody maintained them except to dust 'em off on the midnight shift.
I found a lot of unidentifiable nose nuggets and butt fuzz in those radio car guns over the years.

I agree. I like Colt and have a couple LE stamped, but I don’t think the Frein aspect adds to the value. But to each their own.
If one is available go for it.

Actually the price is quite reasonable; WASR-10 range. I mentioned $$$ is no object to remove $$$ from the opinions, but it had the opposite effect.
