For real? Some security guard training is teaching 2 to the chest 1 to the head? I don't think that even cops are taught that. I also don't think that should be your go to method if you find yourself in a self defense situation.

Huh, I would've thought that was closed down a long time ago.

The one lesson we all can take from this incident is that just because you have pulled your weapon on someone does not mean that your commands will be followed.

This guy won. Nobody else was hurt, the perp was taken into custody, nobody has to sweat out the news cycle to see if the media pile on and demand charges against the shooter of an "unarmed" black/Arab/gay man/deaf man/yute who was finally getting his life together/gentle giant.

It's surprising (and a little alarming) how many gun owners think that this was not a good outcome. Maybe you want to brush up on recent history and the Pennsylvania statutes. Recall what happened in Ferguson, or to George Zimmerman, or the "Old City Shooter" in Philadelphia.
Yes, the outcome was good - luckily, but it could have quickly gone south.

Was this already mentioned? I didn't read all the posts.
That would be a bit difficult, but I think a round to a shoulder or perhaps a thigh would have been a more realistic possibility to incapacitate the knifeman and not kill him. It seems that perhaps there was time to take aim and try either shot, but then again we are all just armchairing it here.

Yes, I've been trained with failure drills a few times, although the trainers aren't consistent with that way of training.

I'm assuming that a tactical wheelbarrow is involved.
