Was there today, not much to see. Not a lot of gun vendors, no deals to be had.
I’m surprised they keep this one going ?

Thanks for the update. I was thinking of wandering by, but my travel plans changed. Sounds like no great loss.

I got my 3 book set of Luger books. Very expensive but very complete. I now I got something good from Ed’s sport shop back when he brought massive amounts of guns. All this was several years ago. Nothing lately. Sad it’s a dud now.

Nice ride when the weather is right. A bit too cold this time.

Yeah, the show was light on guns. Having Split Rock on the same day hurt, as some vendors had to make the choice. There was enough business to keep most sellers "above water" meaning they sold enough to pay expenses. Ed was there with a good selection of guns and a lot of accessories (magazines, barrels, parts), Dick's Gun Shop had a good bunch of guns, ammo, scopes, etc., a few others had some quantity. There was a guy there with some nice custom AR15s. One guy always does Saturday only - he sells a lot of ammo, reloading supplies, black powder guns, some modern guns, etc., but two other guys brought their stuff for Sunday only, and they had some nice stuff. As a seller, I was expecting a better turnout of potential customers. It's archery season, so Sunday was about as good as Saturday, if not better. Business was slow but steady.

As buyers, keep in mind that prices are usually negotiable. If you're at all serious, ask.

I sold an OK amount, and ended up buying some stuff I really didn't need (miscellaneous ammo, various cleaning supplies, parts) because a few of the deals were too good to pass up. I was surprised that I didn't see anyone walking through with an gun for sale the entire show. Bring stuff to sell or trade when you attend.

Hope to see you at Sellersville. A new promoter is running Sellersville - he should have more vendors than were at prior Sellersville shows. Remember, it takes sellers and buyers to make a good gun show. Sellersville is fairly small, so don't expect Oaks, but with support from promoter, sellers, and buyers, it can be made into a good little show again.

Disappointed in this show the last couple of times. Skipped this time.

Note that five of the above thread replies are "negative," and were posted by folks who did not attend. I'll add that there were people who attended, walked out with firearms and/or supplies, and were happy with their deals.

If you don't like the show and you keep posting this, the show may go away. Then you won't be able to post anything, which will probably make you complain about something else. We need support for shows here. It would make them better.

They're having an Oaks show five or six times a year now. Sales are getting slower. Many people attending are just going for "something to do." Sellers could complain about that, and the show attendance might go down. People who need/want something can often find a deal at any show (small/large), so encourage them to attend. I guess people shouldn't attend if they don't want/need something, especially if the result is going to be poor reviews of the show.

Sellersville has always been similar to this, but we're trying to keep it going. Help us out with this, unless you want them gone.

To the vets out there, thank you for your service and sacrifice (yesterday was Veteran's Day, but you should know we are all grateful every day).
