You will need your current permit, a digital photo (passport-style), a scan of your LTCF, and your credit card handy. If you do, it's under 5 minutes.

I'm not the OP.
But for my Utah; they did send a reminder. And I too renewed online.

mine does not expire til the end of JAN. I did not get a reminder. I just do not wait till the last minute.

I renewed mine online back in 2015. Kudos to them for making it a quick, easy and efficient process.

One of the main reasons I don't see that ever happening in PA is the fact that in PA there are 67 issuing authorities (Sheriffs) for LTCF. In UT, there is one (UT DPS/BCI).

We can't get 67 counties to agree to process the paper applications correctly and by statute. You think they're gonna agree to let you apply/renew online? Montco's renewal by email is probably the best they'll do.

Got my new permit on 11/19/2018, 11 days to process and receive in the mail, in the mail. I did not lose any time. the new one expires 1/30/2024

Thanks for sharing. I have my Florida non resident permit and renewed about a year ago. However FL carry permits are handled by their dpt of agriculture and they just elected a very liberal woman to head that dpt who has already stated she is going to make changes to the way they issue permits. I have a feeling non res permits will be going bye bye or at the very least need to be renewed in person. If that’s the case then I will be looking for other options like UT.
