Beretta 92 Italian frame uneven.
Brand new Beretta 92 with grey frame. Noticed the dust cover is machined a little uneven: thicker on one side.
The other model in the store had an evenly machined dc but the slide rubbed on the one side.
I assume this is only cosmetic, and won’t affect long term durability?
I’m inclined to keep it and shoot it a lot. Thoughts?

Yes, shoot it. There's a thread over on AR15.com discussing a similar problem but the cover was actually making contact on one of the new M9A3's.
The gentleman involved tried to have it returned/exchanged/repaired and Beretta told him to go pound sand. If it isn't making contact, I say shoot it.

Not a problem.
My Inox 92FS (Italian) and my Norinco 1911A1 are both a little uneven - hasn't been an issue with either.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515
