I feel for you. I had bought a Remington set(Coat and pants) in blaze orange camo at KMART years ago. It was $100, a lot of money at the time, but one of the best buys I ever made for hunting. I hunt ruff and finally could not sew it back together anymore. I lucked out and found a set of bibs in Cabela's bargin cave. STEEL DOUBLE zippers all over it. The bibs out on the racks were shit. I located a huge(I was in my late 50's and still growing) parka with a hood. That should outlive me. Last year I bought a cheap set of bibs on EBAY as a back up, because I hunt WV every year. Get on EBAY and keep an eye out. A lot of new, old stock pops up.

Is blaze orange really that hard to find? I've been using my jacket and pants for many years and didn't have to shop for new ones yet.

BootBox in Meadville PA and Grove City PA have blaze orange all the time. Quite the distance to travel if you don't live in Northwest PA region but its local if that counts. Just saying. I know latew to the thread but the place is open...even on Sundays!!!

My jacket is close to 15 years old. Really if I didn't outfat it -it would still have 10 more in it. I'd get the same thing over again if I could.

Flourescent blaze hunter orange camo is legal in PA for deer season, as long as it has the required square inchage, right?

That stuff is even harder to find than regular blaze orange.

Depending on season 250sq in is req.

This reminds me it's a good time to start looking again.

I know the min req's. My specific question was, is the camo pattern orange (not solid orange) ok?

Ebay and Amazon have mostly cheap crap.

There isn't much cheap decent hunting clothing like there used to be years ago.

Camo is OK if the total amount of orange meets the requirements, with some exceptions (I think some things require a solid orange cap).

K-Mart used to carry the cheap stuff. Use once and toss. Now they tossed K-Mart. What I always did was buy a blaze zip up hooded sweatshirt about a size bigger than my regular size and put it over my warm duck hunting gear. if you get the sweatshirt all bloody, dirty and smelly no loss.
