Help - RockIsland TAC compact in 9mm wont take Wilson mags

Just got a rockisland TAC Ultra CS in 9mm and while I use Wilson Combat mags in my other 1911s they simply will not work in this piece. Hard to even put in and will only seat if slide is open. But it protrudes into the chamber area too far etc. and slide will not close without rounds even in the mag. I have tried both full size and compact with the same result. 1st what could be the issue if it is correctable 2 since my kimber mags work just fine what other brand may be used that I can try - I have only ever used Wilson/kimber and the pos mags that come with a couple I bought and I have no idea who makes those.
