Default Ever want to shoot underwater?

    Now you can: https://gunfishing.com/

I've been intrigued by the idea of shooting underwater since I first saw Glock offer maritime spring cups. Why offer a factory accessory like that if it isn't possible to shoot underwater? Then the internet started flooding with videos of people shooting underwater.

Mr Hunt has gone a step further and has been experimenting with different muzzle devices for the last few years. It seems that he has built one that really works and is going to offer it for sale on the mass market- once he gets an ATF letter stating that it's a non-NFA item.

Here's a YouTube video explaining how it works:

Dumb idea, useless device. Barrel is not sealed by cartridge until it is fired. You’d want no trapped air in bore and as short a bore as possible. Water is dense and bullets stop quickly in it.

I was thinking that I didn't think that bullets went far in water.

Far enough to kill fish at 3 to 5 feet.

I'm hoping the guys working on the supercavitating bullets will get around to making some in 9mm; that will get the range much farther out there underwater.

Maybe its just me but I think they are trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist. What is the motivation for shooting all the lion fish at point blank range, money? Spear guns work and they work well. Just another attempt at making a new wheel. Oh and the video, lol don't get me started.
