    Unique for cast 158gr. swc, and 2400 for jacketed mostly. I used to use 296 for jacketed hunting loads but haven't carried the .357 into the woods for years.

    AA#9 for the high end loads. Powerpistol for the mid-range loads and 38 Special for the powder puff loads.

    Settled on 13.5 grs. 2400.
    RCBS 162 gr, gc, home cast swc. The mix is half and half lead/wheelweights. BHN has been about 12.
    Use BAC lube sized .358 with a standard primer and decent crimp.
    Chrono's just under 1100 fps. out of my 6" S&W 19.
    Not the hottest load but I like it.

    I prefer 2400 over 296/H110 for .357 Mag, .44 Rem Mag, and .45 Win Mag. More accurate and I LIKE being able to work up from a decent low starting load.
    AA7 and Herco are very good.
