    Default S&W Hornady

Anyone ever see a Hornady S&W 1911? Shop can't find anything about it - doesn't think it was an add on? Perhaps a special run ? Just curious, seems to be a nice pistol and possibly un-fired?

Just to be on the safe side you should take it home with you. Well if you didn't already.

    Ugh.

An example of "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" as applied to firearm decoration.

IMO two things wrong with it -- the red Hornady logo and flag, and apparent porting. Ever shoot a ported handgun? Not fun without Nomex gloves and sleeves and a face shield.

But if that the look you're going for, I think it's a good one!

Lol - thanks guys. No, I thought the design was a bit much. Gun is super light, great trigger, but I was just curious seeing I've never seen one and haven't seem much or anything about it on line.
    Thanks!

Is that porting or just lightening cuts?

Just a PC 1911 with a Hornady decal or laser engraving...

Correct - not ports, just slide cuts for weight reduction.

There's no porting, just lightening cuts. They are standard from S&W and were not added aftermarket.

Unless you're a big Hornady fan I would pass on that 1911. In my opinion the Hornady logo detracts from the pistols value.
