Apparently, he drove straight to Zelienople.

ZELIENOPLE (KDKA) – Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify a bank robbery suspect in Zelienople.

According to the FBI, a man robbed the NexTier Bank in the 200 block of South Main Street on Tuesday.

Around 3:30 p.m., the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the man left the bank and fled on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office at (412) 432-4000.

"At this point, police were told, a customer inside the bank pulled a firearm and demanded the suspect to drop the bag and lay on the floor.

The suspect did as he was ordered, police said, and then jumped up and fled from the bank into a wooded area."

WE are not the police - now he goes on to rob another day and/or be caught and live off our support.
He was armed - is deemed a threat - shoot to neutralize the threat - preferably dead!

    No.

    Citizen stops crime. Good.
Criminal commits another crime. What a shocker!

Citizen does not have to face criminal or civil charges for shooting. Good again.

Shooting is not something to do as a public service, under current laws.

Maybe re-read the article posted: I saw nothing about him being armed, thus causing the disconnect in your logic about the level of threat...

PNC will now put up "no guns" signs because the customer endangered the employees and other customers my confronting the robber.

If there was no threat to life, why get involved in saving the bank’s insured money, at personal risk to yourself?
