Also, his daughter works at the pharmacy AND sells guns, so it might have been her that shot back.

Even when they die the family can sue. The right t sue should be lost while committing crime.

Actually, the right to sue would be negated under PA's Stand Your Ground law if it was found to be a legal use of force.

Court documents identify former Lancaster Mayor Charlie Smithgall as the person who fired shots at a man who is charged with trying to rob his pharmacy at gunpoint last week.

They also describe an assault on a customer and a violent struggle between Smithgall, 72, and the intruder in the presence of several employees.

Charlie is also the gentleman who has hosted not only the North/South skirmish matches (think Civil War muzzle-loaders) but also the annual Gatling shoots on the first Sunday of every November. I'm pretty sure we've showed up on the first Sunday of every November for the last 15 years or so.

Remarkably, there hasn't been any rain or snow on the day of the event.

FWIW, I can't imagine a wrestling match with a miscreant when I'm age 72...which is probably why some folks carry these days.

Seems as if they are really out to catch the accomplice, what with the detailed description and all.
Go sell crazy some where else, we're all stocked up here.

He's only 72, I bet he could win another election after this.

Their web site and yelp reviews don’t say a word about gun shop. Nothing on the outside of the pharmacy either that would indicate a gun shop.
