LANCASTER, Pa (WHTM) - - Lancaster City Police are investigating a shooting at Smithgall's Pharmacy on West Lemon Street. According to Lancaster Police two people came in to the pharmacy to rob it around 2:40 pm. Detectives said one of the suspects then showed a handgun. Lancaster City Police Chief, Jarrad Berkihiser said a clerk fired at the suspects and hit one of them. That person was taken to the hospital according to Berkihiser. The other suspect was able to get away. Berkihiser would only say that the person police are looking for was dressed in all black clothing at the time of the robbery. Berkihiser also said police were able to recover the handgun they believe was used in the robbery.

they are and I doubt in Lancaster the clerk will be fired or charged by the police. Unfortunately civil suits are always a concern when the criminal lives.

Even when they die the family can sue. The right t sue should be lost while committing crime.

I didn't think there were any gun shops within city limits. Used to be a second hand shop years ago that sold guns, but it was actually a front for the cops to gather stolen merchandise.

For those that don't know, Charlie Smithgall used to be mayor of Lancaster.

Shame the first guy lived. I doubt that it's his first brush with the law and won't be the last. He's nothing but a leach on the taxpayers' side.

If you are dumb enough to rob a pharmacy that is also a gun shop, you probably don't deserve to be sucking air.
