Well since virtually all mass shootings have occurred in " gun free zones" , it doesn't take a Rocket Surgeon or a Brain Scientist to figure that just having armed anythings will deter most of that shit.
Teachers have "professional days" all the time. Allowing the ones that qualify to carry (should be a paid perk, with a test to get paid) to practice is a good thing.American by BIRTH, Infidel by CHOICE

I just hope they don't decide on uniformed armed personnel. Element of uncertainty gone, big big mistake.
