Default Quarryville Fairgrounds Gun Show, Oct. 20 & 21

I was driving down rt. 896 near Bart and saw a small sign stating that there was going to be a gun show held on the Quarryville Fair Grounds this weekend. I've not seen it mentioned anywhere else. Since I'm about 20 min. from Q'ville, I'll probably go take a look on Sat.

Just did a search and it is beig held by the Southern Lancaster County Farmer - Sportsmans Assoc., Sat. 8 am - 4 pm & Sun 9 am - 3 pm., adults $5, kids under 12 free.

I think I attended this show 4 - 5 years ago in a different location and it was pretty small, maybe 150 tables, I could be wrong. For 1\2 the price of a matinee I'll prob. go just for s & g's.

Please feel free to correct me on any details.

They always had this at their clubhouse, but it burned down last year. Don't know if a replacement is ready yet.

It is most unfortunate that the clubhouse burned, but the fairgrounds is a much better venue. Way more room than the old clubhouse. It seems to me that this show has expanded since they started having them at the fairgrounds, but that may be my imagination.

I drove the ~20 min. from my house to the gun show, I spent ~20-30 min. perusing the show and left unimpressed. I was looking for an inexpensive, used .357 revolver to carry while hunting and found nothing of interest.

Like most small shows, this one is very hit or miss. Once in a while you find a great deal, but usually I leave empty handed with my money still in my pocket. Still worth going to because it is close to my house.
