I gave one a copy of my vehicle registration. He didn’t like it.

Typical ass hole in a position of power.
He could have simply told you that you need to have the original with you next time and been on his way.

No..its all done by computer now. That 24 hour phone number thing that is dictated by law didn't work last time I tried to call it. Before that you had to call the Sheriff's Department in the County of Origin.. 90% of them only were open M-F 8-4.

    HALT

Ausweis Bitte! (joking.. ok.. just joking)

The law says you have to have your permit or LICENSE with you..

Could he have verified and told you to carry the original next time - YES

Did he have to allow you to continue with a next time warning - NO.. he could have written you up

    File this under PGC SNAFU.

What I find odd is everyone with NFA toys (that I know of, myself included) carries around copies of their paperwork.
One would think that paperwork would be a little more serious than anything else.

Well, the Progressive left thinks that immigration laws are silly just like many here think that the PGC range law is silly. But are we a nation of people who abide by the law or are we a nation of people that only follow the law when it suits us?

If you don't like the law, work to change it. But if you selectively choose to follow only those laws that you like, are you any better than the "undocumented migrants?"

Yup, the OP should thank him for showing mercy for not having his original paperwork needed to use the kings' facilities. Give me a break.

Electronic filing????? LOL.....um.....nope, we're not. Don't think many locals around me use it either. But yeah, once you guys with electronic filing do your thing, it's over at that point.

We still hand write citations, which is why I have the option of giving the driver a written warning to produce the license, or issue the citation is I want OT court time.....which I do NOT!
