Why is this law necessary? Have there been a series of shootings at polling places?
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

That's bullshit. Police most certainly are allowed in polling places, both to vote, and to respond to an incident if necessary. Being armed while doing either is permitted.

Police may not be "stationed" at the polls. BIG difference.

in the memo garbage they say it's voter intimidation, yet most of the mouthbreathers voting blue don't even notice i'm carrying. and it sure doesn't stop my county from leaning blue.
thought prohibiting the wearing of political attire was deemed protected as 1A issue, 2A carrying should also be considered as such.
hell, if i have to disarm to enter the church, i'll still be with my holster.
& nothing stopping us from concealing.
where will i put my voting receipt, my certification that my vote is authentic and mine? [you know, my sticker.]

the most effective method of implementing this would just to be a requirement that polling places be at county courthouses, which seem to have detectors and a requirement to disarm, without ever mentioning that the intent was to disarm voters. or schools.

That would be in the spirit of "literacy tests" that tend to exclude blacks.

Also, parking around the county courthouses tends to be inadequate for daily court business, just imagine if every adult country resident tried to show up on the same day.

parking isn't an issue when your party buses their voters in.

Yes I have the title Constable (peace keeper) on election days and a daycare is attached and a sign on the entry door to the youth center states no guns allowed. I was told by the actual voted in Constable who hired me.
