Re: Remington's new V3 TAC-13
it is doable and much cooler looking than having what looks like 20lbs of legos hanging out of the bottom of your shotgun.

Re: Remington's new V3 TAC-13
My guess is it will be a jam-o-matic, without resting up against a shoulder to allow the action to work properly. If the bolt and receiver are both moving back, will bolt have enough travel in the receiver to eject and load next shell? I don't know the engineering of it, but I've tried to fire my 11-87 by squeezing butt under my arm (as if I was injured in shoulder), and it jams on me.

I'd be surprised if this gun works. Why a vent rib though? It looks like some thug stole a versa max chopped the barrel and stock off. Remington, you're drunk. Go home.

Re: Remington's new V3 TAC-13
I'm more interested in the mechanics. How did they cram all the semi shit needed to run into the birdshead grip. I may have to go find one and poke around a bit. There is a lot of springs and bolt parts on a normal semi that all fit into the stock. Very interested.
EDIT: just did some digging on the V3 recoil/gas system. Interesting design to be all incorporated in the receiver. Man I am behind in the times.Last edited by DucatiRon; October 14th, 2018 at 01:06 PM.

These use the Versamax system which I've heard little good about. In the end its a Remington, and there are only so many turds you can polish.
Here is a segment in this weeks TGC news which shows a direct competitor who has been making this out of Mossberg receivers and it will be half the price.

Re: Remington's new V3 TAC-13
I have the Mossie 500 with an 18" barrel and birdshead grip- a hoot to shoot from the hip, this is a much smaller package, and semi auto which if it isn't a jammomatic would be cool, but I think I'm starting to lean towards this - http://eaacorp.com/guns/mka-1923-430 - small package with what looks like a more usable design.
