Default LA ordinance requires contractors to disclose NRA ties

By a vote of 10-0, Los Angeles City Council passed an ordinance requiring all contractors doing business with the city to disclose if they have any ties to the NRA. If associated with Bronies or Furries or a member of NAMBLA, no questions asked...

The NRA did not immediately responded to a request for comment.

The vote on the NRA motion, which was written by Councilman Mitch O’Farrell, directs the city attorney to draft an ordinance outlining the new disclosure rules, which will need to be voted on by the City Council.

“For the sake of transparency, the city’s residents and stakeholders deserve to know how the city’s public funds are being spent, and whether taxpayer funds are being spent on contractors that have contractual or sponsorship ties with the NRA,” the motion states. Full story here...

Let's either balkanize or have our Fort Sumter already, I'm sick of this shit.

I'm not one usually to advocate this sort of thing, but in all honesty I don't see the polarization of this country getting any better and believe it will only get worse over time.

It will not stand up in court, it's a clear 1st Amendment "association" infringement, intended to discourage NRA association by the obvious threat of being blackballed.

See this case, NAACP v. Patterson, 357 U.S. 449 (1958), for just one example:

What would be cool would be if some Georgia or Utah town passed an ordinance requiring all contractors to list every employee or family member who ever had an abortion. Because the taxpayers deserve to know how their money is spent.

Let’s hope there’s a law suit filed sooner then later.

I can understand this ordinance. It's all about safety for the children because NRA openly promotes murder, mayhem, and senseless violence. After all, in mind of liberals, anyone with a gun is just itching to kill people.

How many times have you read an account of a lib who went shooting or talked to a lib who went shooting and heard the comment, "I felt the power in my hands and it disturbed that I could just go out and kill people"? Seriously, the deranged ones are the liberals.
