Default Purchasing Guns At Odd Hours

I wonder if its possible to purchase guns in PA at odd hours. By that I mean at times such as 5 in the morning. From what I know PICS is not usually open then and this post might seem silly but I have a reason for making this post which I will explain.

In NJ, I can have a NICS check run during normal hours (not actually present at LGS) and then pick up whenever from dealer within a certain time window.

    Might be a real person.

You may be able to run the transaction any time you wish, but would need to wait until the PICS goes through for pickup. You know of a 24-hour gun shop?

    0500 won't work in PA:

"Pennsylvania Firearm Dealers and County Sheriffs access the PICS program through a toll free telephone number, which is available for service from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. seven days a week, including holidays."

The background check won't work, but the FFL might do the remainder of the transaction with completion pending the check...their decision though.

The last time I made a pick up from my local guy that gets my incoming shipments, he had the check done before I got there. He pulled my paperwork from a prior transaction (only about 2 weeks earlier), and already had an approval number in hand. As soon as I completed the fresh paperwork, he filled in the number and I was on my way.

Private long-gun transfers could also be legally done at any hour.

No I don't know of any 24 hour gun shop but I am thinking of Black Friday next month after Thanksgiving when Cabela's opens at 5 AM for their Black Friday sale although well before 5 AM outside it will be mobbed. They've got lots of great deals and if you arrive early enough you can get a chance to win sweepstakes. Anyway, we've been over this before about Cabela's not being a good place to buy guns because they're way too expensive. Well, when I go there for Black Friday I might want to pick up a gun that I purchased on the internet. As of now I do most of my firearms purchases on the internet so I was thinking when I go to Cabela's on Black Friday to take advantage of their Black Friday sales on stuff other than guns (and, from time to time Cabela's does even have good deals on guns, on Black Friday who knows?) I might want to pick up a gun that I purchased on the internet, and doors open at 5.

Why didn’t you just ask that up front instead of your mysterious reason post? Just to create drama?

I've purchased firearms on black friday, most places you are just putting a hold on the gun and have to return later during regular hours to do the paperwork

Well yes there is the element of drama and suspense but mostly its because Cabela's has gotten a bad rap on this forum, at least in terms of buying guns, since Cabela's guns are overpriced which I do admit to. But Cabela's is excellent for shopping for other stuff not the least being ammo. You will find good ammo prices at Cabela's. And they've also got some good clothing, good camping, and good survival gear.
