    Default FCC after your BaoFeng!

    FCC DA 18-980
Give up your BoaFengs! Your too stupid to use them without interfering with us. Think of the children!
Notice the similarity between the fight between a three letter agency and a group of hobbyists?
The slow drip of regulations that are baseless that preside over a legally purchased item.

You know what's really funny? He's got a petition going on, of all places, Change.org! Now that's just funny, the use of an organization like that to actually do some good: https://www.change.org/p/laura-smith...2-318a236cc861

They can have my Baofeng when they pry it from my cold dead hands, and I only ever use it in the FRS bands.

I got one of those as a Christmas gift. I can confirm that I AM too stupid to use it. I have no fucking idea how it works.

Maybe what I got just looks like the one in the pic ....whatever I still can't use it

If you're throwing it anywhere throw it my way.

Bug44 is right, Chirp is your friend. You need it to program it properly.

Since I have no idea what the hell chirp is, I will consider your offer Seriously I'll watch the video and maybe do a little research, and if it doesn't interest me I will consider finding it a new home

    It's for programming it: https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home

You should have gotten a USB programming cable with it, if not, you need order one, of if you like I'm sure one of us here with one would program it for you.

I'll have to look around. It does have a charging stand which it has sat in since Christmas. I have a rudimentary understanding of radio programming from my aviation experience, but I've forgotten most of what I did know. and honestly I've very little to no interest in it. It may be a great prepper device because it came from my Uncle-in-law who is a prepper. Give me a week or 2 and if I conclude I can live without it I'll pm you
