Question about CZ Bren gas system

I already have an 805 bren carbine with the 16” barrel cz offers the pistol barrel assembly. I would obviously be filing a form 1. But my main question is would the gas system on the rifle still cycle correctly moving down to a pistol barrel assembly. Here is a link to the new barrel seems as though to me that the entire assembly for gas control is there, just needed confirmation before filing and eventually purchasing the barrel after paper came back approved.

I don't know the answer to your question, but wouldn't it be easier to just sell the carbine, then buy the pistol to SBR?

Just a reference post for the future if anyone is searching for the answer I needed. I called cz USA talked to one of their engineers and found out the pistol and carbine are completely compatible. So the shorter barrel is a go, now for some paperwork!
