I can understand hunting for food. But killing for the sake of killing is some twisted shit.

All valid responses, and agree with most of them. If living on a farm, you have to kill whatever threatens your livestock or fields. I get that, and if you can make bux off the hide and utilize the carcass so much the better.
What I don't get is someone who isn't in that situation actively seeking a place to kill for the sake of killing. The time and money spent on gearing up has to be more then a hide might be worth.

I would go with 223 over 243 for coyotes because 243 can be loaded very fast and speed kills. I've been predator hunting for years and I've yet to kill a predator. They are tough to hunt and I would recommend hunting them early in the season...as the season goes on...they learn and adapt to hunters.

According to Nosler in .223 a 55gr round can achieve around 3300fps and in .243 a 55gr round can hit almost 4000fps. There are lighter/faster .223 loadings but I don't think my 1in8 will stabilize them well. For now I'm stuck with off the shelf ammo since I don't have a loading setup. I want to get the Lee portable ram for price and space but money is tight at the moment. .223 will provide a faster follow up shot but it seems that .243 might take the cake for speed, especially once I start rolling my own

I plan on hunting the yote's for fur, both personal use & to sell, practice for deer (stealth, shot placement,blood tracking, skinning) and Ihave 2 mutts but I'm not sure about mange and how's it's transmitted.

There are quite a few farms out my way but I hardly if ever see the farmers, let alone talk to them. I know I should talk to them but I've never been much of a people person, especially total strangers & I don't want to come across the wrong way. I'm kind of blunt & straight to the point. Plus, do I knock, try and find their phone number or just chat them up if I run across one? Asides from their properties is there any store/location to find a few at once? I'm originally a city boy and this is all new to me

That was my other question that I forgot to include, where to sell the hide? And does it have to be tanned? One place I saw that you can mail skins in just says frozen but I'm guessing you can get more for a properly tanned hide but I've only seen online buyers that I would ship to. I'm guessing a taxidermy shop would know of fur buyers in the area?

I'd like to make some pieces out of my hides at some point but a little extra income is a nice side perk. I wouldn't try making a fur coat but boots & mittens should be doable

For coyote, if you are hunting during a deer season, are you still required to use whatever is lawful for deer? Meaning, that if you are out hunting coyote during the firearms deer season, you cant be using a semi-auto? I was checking the digest and couldn't find that part.

No, but I'd advise against carrying any deer gear, ie scents, rattle bags, grunts etc. If you run into a warden, it might be hard to explain those. Also, read up on Orange requirements

None. 100-round drums are legal but get heavy to carry. I prefer 10 or 20 rounders. edit: actually not sure about fox. I know you need a separate license for fox (furtaker). Ive never bought one so I don't know all their rules.
