Barr-Nunn Transportation
Have any of you trailer truck drivers heard anything good/bad about Barr-Nunn? I ask because I'm starting with them as a regional driver on Monday, and I'd like as much info going in as I can get.
I had to leave my most recent employer, because my paycheck last week was 25% what it was 2 months ago. If it were just a downward spike, I could deal with it, but the downward trend has been since I came back to work in the spring after a 2 month medical hiatus.
I won't be posting during the week like I have been, and will have to fight with the boss lady for online time on the weekends, but I'll still be here. Wonder if I could wire up the laptop in the truck next to the microwave, stove and coffee pot? It's gonna get crowded!

I don't know anything about Barr-Nunn... but you can definitely wire up a laptop in the bunk!
You can get DC power adapters for most laptops, or just a small inverter, plug it into the 12v power outlet and have fun.
Get yourself a cellular modem from T-Mobile or Sprint and have at it!
Hell, when I drove OTR for Werner, I had an entire desktop computer system in the truck - the only difference was that I used laptop hard drives in it, for vibration resistance!

They been around since a while so that`s a good thing. What made you pick them?
This is the best company IMHO. They have a terminal in York for LTL and I think truckload company guys may keep trucks at home.
I was a company driver for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines and for BASF Chemical and I`ve also had trucks leased to daily Express, Pyle Transport and Roadlink. I think Pyle treated their company employees the best.

Speaking of Werner. No headboard on the trailer and no headach rack on the tractor with a poorly secured load.

They come into our facility (Kane) in Scranton all the time. Never heard anything bad about them.

Hey Biker, if you ever get up here again, stop in at the Admin. building. Come in the side door and I'll throw on a pot of coffee.
