Re: Senators Who Voted for HB 2060 Gun Confiscation Bill
I won't attempt to speak for anyone else, but I think you are completely missing the point. This bill is garbage precisely because it allows for confiscation of firearms without a conviction. Protection From Abuse orders are routinely issued without a conviction of any sort.
There is no due process. A hearing is not sufficient to deprive civil rights.I am not a lawyer.

Re: Senators Who Voted for HB 2060 Gun Confiscation Bill
Absolutely.... and when it is primary time, where do we find good conservative 2A people to run? It costs $75-$100k to run against an establishment state Senator and running is a full time effort. Who can afford that? Where is our side funding these people against the establishment money?
Until our side gets active by donating time and money in individual campaigns, it simply won't change.Help us restore election integrity in PA. Join PA Voters United

Re: Senators Who Voted for HB 2060 Gun Confiscation Bill
Bogus argument- and not what I read in the bill. Assuming 'A' because of 'B' is a logical fallacy. And you probably know what assuming does...
HB 2060 specifies that anyone issued a final protection from abuse (PFA) order by a judge must surrender his guns to the police/sheriff within 24 hours.
A final PFA is NOT a conviction of domestic abuse.
This bill turns a non-conviction, temporary, procedural, weaponized, domestic tool, into official gun confiscation by the state.Last edited by Didnotcomply89; October 8th, 2018 at 11:04 PM.
