Default Moving guns PA to NJ??

Hey there...this may prompt some humor, some surprise...the wife has it in her head to move to the Jersey shore when we retire (2-4 years). My question is this...what's the likelihood I can bring my gun collection (long gun and pistol, approx. 40 total, no NFA) with me? Anyone know what the procedure is? Thanks.

Two suggestions. Pick a new gun friendly location to retire to, or pick a new wife.

As long as they comply with NJ law on AWB and mag capacity, bring em and keep em. Get a FID card and you are good to go.

That's the exact reason I got divorced years ago, best decision of my life. She thought the word "Compromise" is moving to the shore in NJ, instead of the mountains of PA.
The thing you have to ask yourself "Do I want to live in NJ?" I can tell you of more then ten reasons not to want to live there but I don't want to get into it. How about a compromise like a 2nd amendment friendly state that also has a beach? Remember, If you hate the beach as much as me that's not a compromise...

Plus, you car insurance will be higher. Not necessarily too much, but still, it'll be higher.

Plus, fat chance of getting a license to carry a handgun.
