It's no different than my Korean friends. The free Koreans do all they can to get their relatives out of the North. New Jersey is more like North Korea than it is like the rest of the US states. You'll kick yourself everyday you wake up if you are negligent to your own freedom and move to New Jersey.
Corruption is the default behavior of government officials. JPC

Coastal SC is beautiful, and the weather is much nicer than in NJ.
Boy, I say boy, you're reaching the limits of my medication!

Re: Moving guns PA to NJ??
I lived in NJ from 1980 to 2013 the last 15 years at the Jersey Shore (Neptune City)
I could not wait to leave when I retired.
Ocean and Monmouth counties are Republican but the State is very blue.
Property taxes are astronomical.
Retirement income is taxed.
Draconian Estate taxes if you care about that.
Cost of living is high.
Summers at the shore can be very crowded with drunk millennials.
We moved to Florida and for the price we sold our house we bought a place on the intracoastal waterway close to St Augustine and Daytona Beach with a dock and pool and the taxes are less than half. Also, no income tax, firearm carry license is shall issue, no assault weapons ban, mag limits, or hollow point restrictions and the state voted for Trump. The people are friendlier, and no snow.
However, if you move I can recommend some good pizza places near Asbury Park. Just don't go during the gay pride marches.

Remember all magazines over 10 rounds are 100% banned now including ones you may have had before this new law past recently. Professionally have them pinned to the legal definition or sell and replace what you can before you leave.
I moved here from the Jersey Shore 5 years ago this past June. I lived in Brielle next to Point pleasant and also in Brick on the River.
EVERYTHING has changed there including the demographics of all surrounding areas. I have no issues living next to and with people from any race or religion who want to be normal Americans, I do have an issue living with those who want to completely take over and change the entire surrounding area for their own culture and advancement which is exactly what’s happening in the areas I left.
A very close friend of mine was a Captain on the Brick Police dpt. 7 years ago he told me he spent $100K of his retirement to buy 5 years off his time due to having served in the USMC so he could get the hell out of NJ because of the crime and drugs. He advised me to get out before my kids started full time school. Less then two years later we were here.

Re: Moving guns PA to NJ??
Why would anyone want to move to NJ?
Serious question.
Even if you agreed with their politics, the cost to live there (much less retired) is off the chart.
If her family were half smart they would be clamoring to leave.
The beaches aren't even anything special. Only people from NJ and NYC think the NJ "shore" is beautiful. The best locations are meh at best.
Seems more like a sentence then a retirement.

Well well...can't say I'm surprised at the comments about NJ...but DUH, I knew that! However the details some of the above posts offer are compelling. Even if it has to be a GP Small...I'm keeping a place in PA.
Thanks all. i'm out.
